Exotic Locations
The world of Sosaria is packed with things for the explorer in everyone, from the thriving metropolis of Britain to the
demon-infested depths of Dungeon Hythloth. Huge varieties of terrain, weather, vegetation, and architecture give every point
of interest a character all its own. Sosaria is composed of four major landmasses: Britannia, The Lost Lands, Ilshenar, and
Malas. Each boasts unique topography, unusual flora and fauna, and vast areas to explore.
Britannia
The largest and most well-known part of Sosaria is Britannia. Britannia consists of a single large continent, several
large islands, and many smaller islets all surrounded by vast oceans. Cave-riddled mountain ranges span the continent and
larger islands, and some of the caves lead to underworld dungeons. While a majority of the lands have been tamed by humankind,
much of the land (particularly near the dungeon entrances) remains wild and dangerous to travel.
The Lost Lands
The Lost Lands are so named because for an unknown amount of time they were isolated from Britannia. In recent history,
they were re-discovered, and humans quickly began to colonize and exploit the raw nature of this strange, new land. In the
Lost Lands, explorers encountered many strange, new species, including the lizard-like steeds known as Ostards. The Lost Lands
are also home to diverse intelligent species, such as the serpentine Ophidians and the arachnid Terathans. To the surprise
of many, the Lost Lands were also discovered to host an Orcish outpost. The Lost Lands can be reached by land or by magical
teleportation. The area contains two human settlements, a large sea, an arctic northern continent, and vast mountain ranges
in addition to vast tracts of wilderness inhabited by various vicious creatures.
Ilshenar
Completely surrounded by mountains, Ilshenar would be a paradise if not for the many dangerous creatures that roam the
land. Denizens unique to Ilshenar include roving bands of Gypsies, unicorns, ki-rin, pixies, and strange ethereal warriors.
Ilshenar has been a hotbed of sinister plots, including a huge invasion by primitive painted tribal humans!

Haven
Located only in the Trammel facet, the island community of Haven is known for its hospitality and peaceful surroundings.
Haven is the place where new players can learn the ropes of the game, as well as experience early quests and adventures aimed
directly at those new to Britannia!
Malas
Malas is the most recently discovered land in Sosaria. It's called the "Dark Facet" because it floats within
a dark sea of stars. It's a broken land, wracked by great tremors that constantly threaten the stability of its continents.
Its origin is a mystery, and its future inscrutable, but what is known is that this facet is unlike any other. Three great
sections of land - one of which is already in the process of crumbling into smaller islands - are connected by bridges, and
in between them lays a vast abyss of nothingness. And yet, despite this unstable environment, life has flourished in the Dark
Facet; creatures of all types call Malas home, and even humans have forged lives there. Two cities and the largest and most
dangerous dungeon in all of Sosaria, Dungeon Doom, can be found here.
Within each of these landmasses, you'll find uniqu |
